To introduce myself I am Mary Ann Walker, the owner, director and primary instructor of the Las Vegas School of Floral Design. I started this school because I have the desire to improve the quality of the floral industry. My background stems back over 25 years when I first sought employment in a flower shop. Since then I have graduated from college with a background of architecture, horticulture, art and psychology. I am also well versed in public relations.

Beginning as a florist delivery driver and working my way up to teacher has given me experiences on many levels in the floral industry. My experiences include obtaining a Masters Certificate from FTD, placing in top ten competitions, AIFD certification and attending floral design school taught by Dutch and Japanese Masters. I designed a flower shop and set up a floral service, managed many shops and have taught floral design.

I would also like to introduce our new instructor Julie Reed she is a accredited member of AIFD with over 25 years experience in teaching and designing. Her talent, creativity and eye for detail are exceptional. She is a renowned designer in Las Vegas and California for her events and wedding work.

Las Vegas is a unique city with innovation of architecture, creativity and diversity that demands professionalism. Our classes offer (Avante - Garde) innovative and up to date techniques geared towards not only the flower shop, event, show and hotel business. Students can learn how to design props, large production pieces and interior decor for the forever-growing city. Not only can you learn the fundamentals of floral design, but you will feel the magic, glitz and glamour of Las Vegas in these classes.
